Who are Validation and Verification bodies (VVBs)?

Validation and Verification Bodies (VVBs) are external auditing bodies that must be contracted to complete the validation and verification of macroscale projects wishing to achieve or maintain certification under PV Climate, Acorn or PV Nature. In order to carry out validation or verification processes, VVBs must apply for approval by the Plan Vivo Secretariat by disclosing their accreditation and their experience in auditing land use and forestry (LUF) projects.
